• People - We hire only the best medical billers. The average Alta Medical employee has over 10 years of experience. Our most experienced billers have over 20 years. We require each biller to have a minimum of five years of medical billing experience. Our turnover is extremely low which means that you always work with the same people on the same billing team. We employ several certified coders to help with high-level denials and help our clients code for maximum reimbursement.
• Process - Alta Medical Managment implemented a Lean culture from its inception. We run our business using the same concepts found in world class manufacturing facilities. Lean Process allows a company like Toyota to build a car more quickly, less expensively and with higher quality than other automobile manufacturers. Simply put, Lean Process is the concept of continuous improvement. the key to finding and implementing improvements lie with our employees. In a true Lean culture, managers manage the flow of ideas and suggestions from employees, not the employees themselves. This processs and culture is our competitive edge. • Technology - Alta Medical Management utilizes GE's Centricity software. Centricity is both very powerful and quite sophisticated. We have learned to manage its complexities and believe it is the best billing software available. Centricity also features an extremely flexible, robust reporting module based on Crystal Reports. Many of our practices also utilize the Centricity Electronic Medical Records (EMR) component. It is one of the most widely used EMR's on the market. GE Healthcare - We have advised many of our clients during their EMR implementation.
